At Atlant Partners, we are proud to present a new project that showcases Kazakhstan’s role as a global agricultural powerhouse. The initiative involves launching a state-of-the-art wheat deep processing facility in Kokshetau, Aqmola region — one of the country’s richest areas for high-quality wheat.

Why this project matters

The plant will produce wheat starch, gluten, bran, and compound feed additives — essential ingredients for industries such as food and nutrition, pharmaceuticals, paper, textiles, and cosmetics. With global demand for these products growing steadily at 4–7% CAGR, the project is positioned to meet an expanding international market.

Importantly, the project already has four off-take contracts with Chinese buyers, ensuring a solid sales pipeline from the start. Combined with Kazakhstan’s cost advantages in raw materials and logistics, the project promises industry-leading profit margins.

Key project highlights

  • Capacity: 200,000 tons annually (130,000 tons starch, 20,000 tons gluten, 50,000 tons feed additives).

  • Strategic location: Northern Kazakhstan, connected by rail, road, and air to Russia, China, Central Asia, and beyond.

  • Partnerships: Preliminary supply agreement signed with a Chinese equipment manufacturer.

  • Local support: Endorsed by regional officials with secured land and infrastructure.

Investment opportunity

The project requires USD 55 million in total, of which USD 47 million is already secured via China Construction Bank. The team is now seeking an additional USD 8 million (15% of total investment), available for financing through equity or debt structures, with collateral provided.

With projected average net profit margins of 31% and strong revenue growth, this venture offers a compelling opportunity for investors to participate in Kazakhstan’s fast-growing agri-processing sector.
